I like for authors to take risks, but I am happy reading books that are “tried and true,” as well. The characters are most important to me. I will forgive much in a novel if the characters are compelling, if I care about these folks and what happens to them. I do like that Assassin’s Honor features mortals. That is a welcome anomaly in paranormals. I enjoyed your post. Thanks.
