Welcome to What-To-Read Wednesday. Each week our Fiction Vixen reviewers will tell you about a book they think you need to read ASAP. This week Sophia recommends:
Move the Sun by Susan Fanetti
The hero Isaac, is the president of a motorcycle club in a small town in Missouri. The town is so rural they don’t have local law enforcement and so the MC keep the peace for the town and it’s citizens in MC fashion. If there’s a problem, people come to Isaac.
Not many people actually move to Signal Bend so when Lilli Carson arrives and sets up house, she draws some attention. Not something she really wants to do since she’s there for more reasons than just looking for a small town to settle down in. But when Isaac takes notice of her, she’s ok with that. He’s tall, rough and sexy; just her type. Spending a little time with him wouldn’t be a hardship. But then things get complicated.
I take my MC romances in small doses. One, because I really like them and I don’t want to over do it. Two, because MC romances push the boundaries in areas like cheating, violence and how women are treated. In Move the Sun, there hero does not cheat so yay! We get a very tough hero who likes rough sex and is surprisingly romantic once he starts falling in love. It was really hard not to like this guy, not that I was trying.
We get a heroine who is also tough. She has a military background, she’s smart and confident. I was a little surprised at how quickly she trusted Isaac with her secrets but it went along with her confidence in herself to know if he was trustworthy so it worked.
(Isaac is a dirty talker)
“Tit for tat, huh? How ‘bout I make you scream until your throat cramps? You swallow, Sport, and I’ll make it happen twice.”
