British Agent Nathaniel Bradley is tasked with bringing home a stolen heirloom. After tracking the Faberge egg all the way to a group of criminals in New York, Bradley infiltrates a ring of con artists and gets sucked into the role of a high priced prostitute.
While hoping for a chance to take back what is rightfully his, Bradley’s sole mission becomes to seduce Tony Terranova, Jr, the heir to a notorious mafia dynasty. Though Tony is strikingly handsome, the usually dominant Bradley is hesitant to submit to the sexual whims of a dangerous Mafioso.
What Bradley doesn’t expect is for Tony to fall to his knees so eagerly for him, leaving him blindsided by how intensely their dark tastes complement each other. Now Bradley is caught up in a deadly game of lies and desire, where what he truly wants may not be what duty requires.
He had a nice car. I couldn’t hold back acting like an idiot over his black Bentley. It figured a guy as amazing as Tony would have the perfect car. When I got in, the scent of expensive leather wafted up to me. I sighed out of pure pleasure as I sank into the plush seat.
Tony got in on the driver’s side and started up the car. “So we’re going shopping?”
“Wherever you want. I’m fine with just sitting in your car,” I said.
He laughed. “You look like a kid on Christmas morning.”
I couldn’t stop grinning as I bounced in the seat. He reached for my hand, and I glanced his way.
“You know, I could fall for you,” he said.
I have already. The thought came so easy to me that it scared me. I didn’t have to worry about him seeing my fear, though, as he dropped my hand and concentrated on backing out of his space.
Once he put the car in drive, I held my palm out. He put his hand in mine and beamed, his happiness radiating from him. He leaned in for a kiss. His lips against mine made me forget about everything I needed to do. “Tell me again, why are we going out?” I asked.
Tony chuckled. “You need a suit for tonight.” He pulled away from me and drove out of the underground parking garage.
“A suit? You mean prophylactics? Because as much as I have fallen in love with your car, I don’t need a ride in it to go get a couple of boxes of condoms. I’m sure there’s a shop close by that sells them.”
He pulled into traffic, but he hadn’t let go of my hand yet. I didn’t want him to ever.
“A couple boxes? Really?”
I grinned at him. “I need to be prepared. We have all day tomorrow.”
“Sounds like my kind of good time. We’ll stop by there on the way back home. I’m taking you out for a nice suit. You know, a jacket and tie?”
I gagged. “A tie? Where are we going that I need to wear a noose?”
He smirked. “I take it you don’t like to wear a tie?”
“I have reservations tonight for us at a restaurant. I wanna treat you right.”
“By wining and dining me? You already have me. You don’t need to try to seduce me into a quick tumble between the sheets,” I said.
He stopped at a light and looked at me. “Yeah, but I gotta do everything I can to make you stay.”
Tony wasn’t going to kill with a gun to my head. He was going to destroy me with a broken heart.
