I met my now husband during my freshman year of college. He came up to visit one of my close friends and I spent the night hanging out with them. He did not say one word in front of me the entire night!
A few weeks later he needed a date to his Senior prom (yes, he was still in high school). He asked his friend to ask me if I would go with him. I thought he was really hot and my friend was going too so I said “yes’.
He came up to visit the weekend before so we could spend some more time together and we ended up having our first kiss out on the frozen lake in the nearby national forest.
Four years later he took me back out to the dock that we had our first kiss on and wrote out “Will you marry me?” in French on the ice. We were married a year later on our five year anniversary.
