Review: Play With Me by Alisha Rai

Play With Me Alisha RaiWyatt and Tatiana were high school sweethearts, of a sort.  They spent many years together exploring their kinky sexual preferences until life forced them apart.  Now Tatiana is back to beg a favor of Wyatt.  Her brother has been caught stealing from Wyatt and Tatiana is there to ask Wyatt to not press charges against her brother.  She will pay the money back in full and hopefully that will call the debt even.

When Wyatt sees Tatiana he realizes that he still wants her.  Even though it has been ten years since he has seen her he still hasn’t forgotten anything about her.  He is a different man now though, richer, successful and much more practiced at their preferred kink.  Wyatt offers her one night where they can come together again.  Tatiana is unable to resist the offer and they have their one night.  When Wyatt wakes up in the morning he realizes that one night will never be enough, he wants so much more from her.

Play With Me is a fast and smoking hot read.  Wyatt and Tatiana are dirty, dirty, dirty.  Just the way I like it.  :)  There is also a bit of a plot twist that I liked too.  I won’t spoil it but I will say that the trope of long, lost loves is one of my favorites and this book does it well.  It is always fun to watch a couple come back together and learn if they still have that special connection.

Going into the book, I didn’t realize it wasn’t a complete story.  As the pages kept turning I wondered how the story was going to wrap up.  Alas, it didn’t.  But that was ok because I think we need more time with Wyatt and Tatiana.  I never got a real sense why they broke up when they were younger.  I know there was pressure from her family but they were together for so long.  It would seem there had to be something huge that forced them apart, even if it was by mutual agreement.  Either way I look forward to the next book and more from this sizzling couple.  Final grade- B

“Prettiness helps, Tatiana, but you and me?  It’s always been more.  We’re like a moth and a flame.”

“Who’s the moth?”

“Who cares?”
