I struggled a bit with this story in that I found the dream sequences and flash backs confusing and the story a bit difficult to follow. I had to reread passages and page back at times to keep up with whose dream or flash back I was reading. The subject matter was quite interesting for me but the story just did not flow and that kept me from enjoying this novella as much as I’d hoped I would.

Flash backs can be great but its no fun for the reader when it is so confusing or you have to re-read passages to understand it all. It would get me out of the story each time I had to re-read :S
I hate it when there are too many flashbacks in a storyline like this. It makes everything choppy and hard to follow.
Usually with anthologies I maybe like 2 out of the 4 stories. Yet, I still read them which is weird.
Hrmm…flashbacks are tricky. No fun when you can't get immersed in the story because you have to reread..has happened to me before too.
Too bad that this third story of the anthology didn't work for you as well as the other two. Though two out of three is not a bad score
I usually don't get a better score than that with anthologies.
I hate flashbacks when it is not working for the story, it disturbs the flow of the story, at least you liked the other two stories in this anthology.
