An arranged marriage between a werewolf and a vampire.
There will be blood.
She may resist his bite, but she can’t resist his charms…
Werewolf princess Blu Masterson won’t allow her seductive vampire husband to consummate their marriage with his bite, marking her forever. Alone in a secluded estate with her sworn enemy, Blu curses the marriage arranged to bring their rival nations together, especially since Creed Saint-Pierre calls out to her most feral desires.
When Blu uncovers her pack’s secret plot to destroy the vampire nation—and Creed—she is forced to confront her growing feelings for her sexy undead husband. Will she choose the only life she’s ever known or accept his vampire bite?
“Their mission was simple: to keep the peace among the paranormal nations.”
But it’s never that simple is it?
Blu, a werewolf princess and Creed, a powerful vampire tribe leader are to be married as a show of goodwill between the enemy nations of vampires and werewolves. Neither is particularly thrilled about the marriage. Blu has been forced into the marriage by her less than scrupulous father, and Creed has volunteered with an agenda. However neither of them expected that love would come along with the deal. When it does, they both must reevaluate their allegiances and decide where their loyalties truly lie as war between the nations seems inevitable.
Blu is one my favorite heroines this year. She’s funny, sarcastic, knows what she likes, and although she’s a werewolf princess by birth, there is so much more to her than just that. She comes off as the bold, extroverted sassy werewolf, but she’s got a lot going on underneath the surface. The daughter of an evil werewolf Alpha, she has been forced to endure her father’s abusive behavior for years. Having grown up without her mother to help guide her, she’s developed a few defense mechanisms and is a true survivor. Beneath the flamboyant exterior of make up, wigs and outlandish clothing lies a vulnerable, yet strong young woman.
In the beginning Creed appears to be a vampire with a not-so-nice agenda, and indeed, that is what he is. But it soon becomes apparent that although he has married Blu, who is a werewolf and sworn enemy to his kind, he is still above all else a gentleman. Although their marriage is a farce, he still intends to care for and protect Blu just as if they had married for love. Once Creed falls hopelessly for Blu, all bets are off though. He will make it his personal mission in life to protect her and see that justice is served to all that have her hurt her.
Creed and Blu as a couple worked for me. They are polar opposites in personality and nature, and it seems a love affair between the two should be impossible. But Blu’s quirky personality and Creed’s willingness to indulge Blu in all her eccentricities makes for a fun, and interesting relationship. Their sexual chemistry was right on target and again, Creed’s willingness to indulge Blu opened the door for some highly erotic love scenes.
The book seemed to be divided into two parts. The first half dealing mostly with the developing relationship between Blu and Creed, and the second where the real action gets going and the evil plots collide into an explosion of paranormal discourse. The action in the second half was well paced however there was a moment where I cringed as it appeared the conflict would be solved with an overly predictable, far too easy, magical solution. Thankfully, this solution was quickly discarded and the action resumed nicely.
Her Vampire Husband is a nicely rounded paranormal romance with loveable characters who demonstrate that even polar opposites can overcome the odds and find true love in each other.
Favorite quotes:
Another coat of the glossy red appropriately named Bite Me would finish her Watch My Husband Suck Another Man’s Neck look.
Blu: “Just kisses?” she sought to confirm.
Creed: “Until you ask for more. You wanted decadence?”
Yes, and what could be more decadent than making out with the enemy?

Hey honey, great review. I am looking forward to reading this one. I have this one in TBR pile. Yea, the pile is starting to scream at me to read my books.
And I am marking my calendar for April 8th!
I enjoy your reviews hon! I like how you said you feel the book is divided into two parts. I am kinda glad to hear that the first half shows the relationship developing. Often times the characters get thrust upon us with out a reasoning of why.. So that is nice!
Have a great day honey!
I have to say, based on the book title alone, I thought… cheesy!
But now, after reading your review, I'm actually looking forward to reading this! Thanks for sharing!

P.S. I love your book blog! And I'm a follower, the only thing is that I suck at checking my reader everyday. Would you consider adding a "subscribe by e-mail" feature by Feedburn to your blog?
Thanks!

Hey sweets, nice review! I liked this one. I loved Blu and Creed was pretty hot, but at times the story itself didn't do it for me, Idk. It was very enjoyable, though
Well done review, and another one I'll have to pick up based on your good thoughts.
I love Michele, but I have to admit the vamp/were mix might have put me off, but you are far too convincing.
Sam
Wow no idea this book was awesome. I admit *blush* this one didn't appeal to me based on the blurb, but this is why I follow you :0
Sam–I liked the were/vamp mix. Blu is fairly naughty so falling in love with a vamp is a no-no and for her that's kind of a good thing. The 'I shouldn't be doing this but I can't help it' thing is quite good.
SHB–I've several people say they were put off by the title or blurb. It was never an issue for me but I've enjoyed the wicked games series so far so I had planned to read this anyway. Glad I did, because Blu was great. Creed was good too but Blu was the star of the show for me.
I liked this one too. I enjoyed the first half more…but overall quite good! I love Blu and her sarcastic mouth..poor Creed, didn't know what he was getting into..LOL.
Mandi–Yes, Creed certainly has his hands full in Blu. I want to hang with her. LOL
Great review and I have added this one to my TBR pile!
I love the premise of a vampire and werewolf together!
Good review FV! I have this sitting on my list to get done soon!
Hey Therel!
I have an award for you on my blog: http://myfoolishwisdom.blogspot.com/2010/03/awards.html

I've seen this one around the internets. I can't wait to read it. I like the idea of a vamp/were couple. Werewolves are hot!
