Sex life: MIA

Fearless by Tawny WeberGia Renyard feels like there is one thing missing from her otherwise perfect life, and that is a grand passion.  She is smart, successful and generally happy with the way things are going but she wants to experience something sexy.  And she wants it with Luke Monroe.  Over a pitcher of martinis, Gia and her friends come up with a plan for her to snag the sexy playboy.  Vegas, a new look, some teasing and she will be well on her way to fulfilling her fantasy.

Luke is all for a good time but lately he is bored.  Everything in life comes to easy to him and he can’t figure out why that would make him unhappy.  Then he meets Vanna at a Vegas club and he connects to her in a way he can’t explain.  They have crazy sex, talk through the night but when he wakes up the next morning she is gone.

Gia was all for a good time but when the emotions started creeping in she knew it was time to bail.  She knows that no man will likely live up to what she had with Luke but that will be the price she pays for having that time with him.  Back in her real life she is excited to learn of a new promotion but floored to realize that her boss will now be Luke.  Somehow she has to either avoid him or transfer to another team before he figures out who she is.  Things don’t work out that way though, and Luke is furious when he finds out who she is and how she has been deceiving him.  Both Gia and Luke felt a connection back in Vegas and somehow they need to figure out a way to explore that connection further.

Fearless is part of Cosmo Red Hot Reads by Harlequin so it is a novella length book.  The good thing about these books is that the pack a complete story and awesome sexy times into that short length.  Fearless is a fun read but it isn’t one that will make an impact on the reader.  Sometimes that is just what is called for though; a short, sexy read that I can enjoy without over thinking things.  If you are looking for something like that, then you should grab this book.  It has the right combination of hot and sweet.  Final grade- B-
