Welcome to What-To-Read Wednesday! This week Jen recommends:
Major Love by Kate Stewart
I adored Kate Stewart’s first book in this series, Anything But Minor. Major Love is Andy’s book. Andy is the bar owner, retired catcher and one with a serious case of unrequited love. I wasn’t sure how this would work for me because I am usually not a fan of romances where one of the main characters has had their great love and now is trying to move on. This case especially considering what happens in the first chapter- I was wary about moving on.
Turns out I shouldn’t have worried. April and Andy are great together. There is minor drama about the previous love but overall the way Andy falls for April is very believable and fun to read. The sex scenes are combustible and I had some good laughs along the way. I am a sucker for great epilogues and Major Love has an exceptional one. It answered any questions I had about how their relationship would progress.
This book is an enjoyable second book in this sports romance series and I hope we see more (not Andy’s old love though, she rubbed me wrong).
