Hey and happy Friday!! I missed Random Friday last week. I really meant to get to it. I did. Before I knew it, it was Saturday though and whatevs. Let’s move on.
Last weekend Fiction Vixen celebrated it’s second birthday. I got all crazy and decided to give away a Kindle and a whole bunch of generous author’s pitched in to load it up with books. There is still time to enter so GO!!
Once again I’m a little light on Random Friday fodder so I asked my friends to help me out. Here we go.
Samantha is looking forward to the fourth book in the Cut & Run series, Divide and Conquer by Madeleine Urban, Abigail Roux. It’s due out October 14th 2011 by Dreamspinner Press. Hopefully we can convince her to do a review here at Fiction Vixen.
Samantha also recommends that we all follow Alyssa Milano on Twitter. And really, why not? Her last name is a cookie. Win. (click the graphics)
Oh and do you follow on twitter? I had no idea she had such useful tweets. Everybody should follow her! And I don’t say that just because I might have been a huge and faithful fan of Who’s the Boss.
A little birdie told me (AKA Catherine) that there’s a hot new cover about. Here’s the new cover for By A Thread, the 6th book in the Elemental Assassin Series by Jennifer Estep. I am seriously loving it. The green and blue really look good.
So who’s excited for the Hunger Games movie, raise your hand!! Amy pointed to this the “exclusive sneak peek” and by peek they mean and tiny glimpse. It will have to do for now. But I’m going to need more. Soon.
Amy also called my attention to Pitbull’s performance at the VMA’s. We like the red pants Pitbull. We like. You should search out some footage though. Apparently this picture does not do his package err…I mean his performance justice.
Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. There’s just something about BFF’s realizing there is more and taking a chance. Someone on Twitter shared this awesome Friends To Lovers shelf at GoodReads. I wish I could remember who shared, but anyway take a look if you like F2L’s.
Want to see something funny? I thought, hey wouldn’t it be awesome to find a llama with a Kindle? It could happen right? So I searched “Kindle Llama” (image search) and came up with THIS PAGE. The funny thing is, a large majority of images on that page are images from Fiction Vixen. Is it time to seek help? Naw. Sadly I found no Kindle Llama. This is my challenge to you. Find me a Llama with a Kindle.
That’s it for me folks!
