Random Friday: Smokin’ Hot Cowboys, Last Call, Embrace The Rainbow and More!

Holy schamoly, I don’t know what happened today. My scheduled posts are all messed up. It couldn’t have been my mistake right? Surely it was someone else. :) So, here is Random Friday, late. Good thing I decided to check in or poor old RF would still be sitting in drafts wondering what the heck is going on. Let’s get started.

New Pinterest board:

As you know I’m a big fan of Pinterest. It’s pure eye candy. You can find me here. I have several pinboards, but I recently started two that are pretty fun. I started a “Books We Love And Recommend” board. Click the link if you want to follow.

Random House has a “Literary Tattoos” pinboard. Some very nice tats there. Some…not so much. Check it out.

Embrace The Rainbow goes live!

Embrace The Rainbow

Last November, Kris from Kris ‘n’ Good Books,  Aleksandr Voinov,  Amara Devonte started the ‘embrace the rainbow’ campaign. The website has been launched! Here is what Kris has to say:

We are now extremely excited to announce the launch of our website www.embracetherainbow.com!

The main objective of the site and blog, as put by me ;), is…

‘embrace the rainbow’ is a challenge to us all, particularly to those within the m/m romance and broader book blogging communities to:

–  become more aware of the issues facing trans*, gender queer and questioning people;

–  increase understanding through education and open discussion/s; and,

–  pay it forward, by encouraging acceptance and support in others.

‘embrace the rainbow’ provides a safe space for all readers, writers and publishers; whoever ‘they’ might be at a particular moment and whoever ‘they’ might be in different moments in the future.

Be open to the full spectrum of possibilities.

Please show your support by subscribing to the site, by adding our button or badge to your blog to identify it as a safe space, or by contributing to our blog.

Through the blog, we hope to be able to bring you fortnightly/every other week posts which will encompass a variety of GLBTQQ topics; from sharing life experiences, to associated books written or read which have resonated with you, or just general thoughts on issues, news, etc.

If you would be interested in being a guest blogger, we would love to hear from you by emailing us at contact AT embracetherainbow DOT com.

Will you accept the challenge?

What I’m reading:

Hunter's Prey - Moira Rogers

Hunter’s Prey by Moira Rogers. I’d call it a guilty pleausre but I don’t feel guilty. Naughty me. :)

What I just read:

Moving In Rhythm - Dev Bentham

Moving in Rhythm by Dev Bentham. I loved this book. Such a sweet courtship and both heroes were great. I’ll have a review posted closer to release date. and

What I’m going to read:

Devil's Luck - Carolyn Crane Heart Signs - Cari Quinn

This weekend I’m going to read Devil’s Luck by Carolyn Crane. It’s a novella, Simon’s story. Then I’m hoping to dig into Heart Signs by Cari Quinn.

Jen posted a series review of the Charley Daniels series by Darynda Jones recently.

The last time I was this excited about a series was the Fever series.  These books are lol funny and have a plot line that will just suck you right in.

I read the first book and enjoyed it but this quote from Jen makes me want to grab the next two now!!

OOOMMGGG!!! *tackle hugs Sophia, Samantha, Catherine, Jen! It’s so good to be able to access fictionvixen again! I’ve been in serious withdrawals thanks to a computer virus on my laptop but I’m back!

Random Friday late is still worth it just for the cowboy segment alone!!! Woot, woot “save a horse, ride a cowboy”! And that is exactly what I did while I could not access the internet. I FINALLY started Lorelei James Rough Riders series!!! Colby hooked me with “Shug” lol! What a smokin’ hot series! I’m so excited I have so many more books to savor in it!

Thanks to Sophia, I’m now addicted to Pinterest too! I see a pattern of Sophia’s influence in my life. 😉

Excited about Carolyn Crane’s Novella release! More Disillusionists! <3Packard 4EvA!<3

Great post, lots of news. I know lots of people love Pinterest, but I really don’t want another addiction taking away my reading time.
About that rainbow organisation, it sounds very good, but as I don’t read m/m or erotic romance, not for me either.

I have subscribed by email a while ago, and I really like that. A mail every day with all the posts you made. And, I can read my mail while at work …
