Fiction Vixen Book Reviews was created one year ago today!! In honor of the occasion I’ve given her a little face lift. A little nip & tuck, some Botox, dermabrasion and collagen here and there. What do you think of the new look?
This past year has gone by quickly and to be honest I’ve mostly approached this blogging gig by the seat of my pants. I had no idea what kind of crazy ride I was in for when I first started my blog, I just thought blogging would be a fun way to connect with others who love the romance genre as much as I do. I had no idea as a result of my blogging addiction, new addictions would follow. Over the past year, I have become addicted to Twitter, tweeting daily with my fellow book addicts about all the latest ‘OMG, You Have To Reads’. I’ve also become hopelessly addicted to my Kindle, Ms. Chastity D. Bauched.
I’m not going to get all misty-eyed on you but I would like to thank a few people supporting me and putting up with me while I’ve bumbled my way through this first year:
My husband, as always, has been supportive of my obsession hobby in every way. When he’s tired and wants to just chill out after work he still listens to me talk about what’s going on at FVBR or my latest book boy friend(s). When I decided that blogging included playing with dolls, he was more than happy to help me stage a skit and not once did he mention my age or maturity level. I love you Mr. FV. 
One of the things that has changed here at FVBR is now I have four contributors to the blog. Samantha, Pearl, Amy, and Tracy all help out by writing reviews and each has their own unique style and flair. Thank you ladies!
I also want to thank the many authors, publicists and publishers who have presented me with amazing opportunities to read and review books in the genres I love. You know who you are.
One of the best things about blogging has been the many online friendships I’ve developed. If I were to name you all, one by one, the list would be infinite and I’m pretty sure blogger would explode and you’d all be pretty pissed off at me for breaking blogger. So please just know that I love and appreciate all my bloggy friends more than I can say and am constantly amazed at your dedication, creativity.
I would like to extend a very special thank you to a couple of blogger friends personally responsible for helping me maintain what’s left of my blogging sanity.
The Book Vixen for getting me on board with the whole blogging idea. We’ve been online friends for about 6 and a half years and I’m so glad we bonded over Twilight LOL. Thanks BV for encouraging me and supporting me. xoxo
KC at SmokinHotBooks for providing endless comic relief. She never fails to pick me up, make me laugh and occasionally make me spit my coffee over some outrageously wild tweet. Thanks for talking me down from the occasional cliff and being there to catch me when I decide to jump anyway.
And finally Mandi at Smexy Books without whom I would never have made it through my first blogging year. I am constantly humbled by her generosity toward me and others. She is my blogging hero as well as someone I consider to be a good friend. With our shared love of GHM, and DF’s (don’t ask, trust me on this) I feel like I’ve found my blogging soul-mate. *giggles* Mandi gets me, puts up with me, supports me and best of all makes me laugh even when I don’t think I have a good LOL in me. Thank you Mandi for encouraging me to push myself to be a better blogger. You are awesome!
As far as what’s in store for Fiction Vixen Book Reviews in the coming year, who knows? I suppose I’ll just keeping doing what I do and see where it takes me since that method has worked out really well this past year. I look forward to continuing to get to know my fellow bloggers, and chatting about the books we love. Thanks for a great blogging year everyone.
