ICED News From Karen Marie Moning
Who’s excited for the release of ICED? I thought it was a spinoff series from the Fever series but Karen Marie Moning says ICED is the sixth book in the Fever series, but will be narrated by Dani. Books 7 and 8 will be as well. Books 9 and 10 will return to Mac’s point of view. So…no spinoff. Moning also says books 9 and 10 will not make sense unless you read 6,7 and 8. BURNED and FLAYED are the titles for books 7 and 8 in the Fever series.
Karen Marie Moning answered a few questions regarding the next three books:
Q: How old is Dani in this series?
A: 14 when it starts. 17 when it ends.Q: Does she have sex at 14?
A: No.Q: Is there sex in this trilogy?
A: Have you forgotten whose writing it?Q: Is Dani’s voice the same as it was in the Fever books?
A: No. In the Fever books Dani was 5% of the story, so I made her voice colorful enough to stand out in an epic world. In ICED, her story is epic, so her voice is more natural, more her own.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day
Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day!! Who knew this was a thing? I didn’t but apparently a lot of people know about this. My daughter’s kindergarten teacher dressed like a pirate today and the kids made pirate hats. I overheard my daughter ordering a classmate to walk the plank. *sigh*

I was going to read ICED (I actually pre-ordered it) but now after seeing KMM’s update, um no. I think I’m done with the Fever series. I’ll check out the reviews; maybe I’ll change my mind. But I’m canceling my pre-order.
