New Covers!!!

I saw on Goodreads that Shadow Heir by Richelle Mead finally has a cover. I really like how each cover has been a different color. What do you guys think?

Wild Cat by Jennifer Ashley, third book in the Shifters Unbound series, has a cover. I find the idea of this world very intriguing, although I have had some issues with the books, so I’m interested in seeing how things will continue developing with the collar story arc.

Woohoo! More covers for the Donovan Brothers Brewery series. Bad Boys Do and Real Men Will by Victoria Dahl will be coming out before the end of the year. I’m very excited about the books, but I have to be honest, these covers aren’t thrilling me as much as the Tumble Creek ones did.

Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep is the second book in her Mythos Academy series. I haven’t read the first book, but Sophia did and really enjoyed it (review coming soon). That, combined with the fact that I haven’t yet read an Estep I didn’t like, has me convinced that I need to give it a try, despite the fact that I’m not much of a YA fan.

I really love the cover for Wrong Side of Dead by Kelly Meding. The green font is really working for me. ***IMPORTANT NEWS*** The author is warning people not to read the summary for this book if they don’t want to be spoiled for Another Kind of Dead.  She says the blurb has “mega spoilers”.

I admit I’m not a Megan Hart expert, but the cover for her new title, All Fall Down, seems like a big departure from her usual fare. What do you guys think?

Hark! A new cover for Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich. I haven’t read any of the recent books in this series, but the older ones that I have read were absolutely hilarious. Let’s just not get into my opinion of the love triangle. 😉

I haven’t read anything by Jill Sorenson before, but the description of Caught in the Act sounds intriguing. I wonder what state this takes place in.

I’m really excited to delve into this series. I tried to read the first book, Bond With Me, quite a while ago, but there was that big to-do with Dorchester and it only released as an ebook. Finally, a paper copy was released this month so I can give it a try. Then I’ll be able to move on to this book, His Dark Bond by Anne Marsh.

The Departed by Shiloh Walker seems interesting. Although I’m not exactly excited by psychics, I am interested in second chance romances. Have any of you guys read her before? Did you like her?

I must google Jill Sorensen!! I remember the brou ha ha surrounding DP at the time and how frustrated authors were who had releases that next month. Anne Marsh was one of them who suddenly were confronted with the new publishing format :( I’m glad to see she’s got a new release coming up!!

And Shiloh Walker, she’s one of my fave authors 😀 I read FRAGILE and BROKEN which were both suspense and some contemp. romances which I all *heart*. She’s one fantastic storyteller IMO. Definitely worthwile!

I think Megan Hart’s new book is a total departure from her previous books, it doesn’t even sound like a romance…
I love Shiloh Walker, you should read Broken and Fragile, those two are fantastic books. I can’t wait to read The Departed.

It didn’t sound like one to me either. I tried to find what genre it was supposed to be in but had no luck.

Wow, two rec’s for Broken and Fragile already! They must be good ones.

The 3rd book was probably my favorite…BIG things happen in this one! I can totally understand why some people had different reactions to things that happened in it, but overall I loved it.

What amazing covers! Catherine, ITA about Dahl’s new series covers. They’re very boring looking which I’m sure does not match the content at all. =( Maybe I’ll buy them for Book Jesus so I don’t have to look at the disappointing covers.

  5. says

I don’t love the Dahl covers but I read the first book and it is really cute.

I just read my first Sorenson and love her style..can’t wait for her next one!

  6. Ridley says

The third Dahl cover is hideous, if you can find it. Jane tweeted it and the guy on the front was anti-sexy.

I think the other problem with those covers is that they’re almost identical to Carly Phillips’ Bachelor Blogs series.

I was so excited to see Shadow Heir cover!! I think that this is my favorite Eugenie cover of the series.

Uhhh, thank you for the warning on Wrong Side of Dead from Kelly Meding. I would have cried if I’d read that spoiler-blurb. Did it get leaked or was the spoilery blurb intentional?

    • Kelly M says

Hi Spaz – When the original blurb for Wrong Side of Dead was approved, the release date was still Spring ’12, so the spoilers didn’t seem like as a big a deal because of timing. But when the release date got moved up to January and the blurb was put out there sooner than I thought it would, it was too late to change. That’s why I put the warning up on Facebook and Twitter. I hope that helps! -Kelly
