When we left off in Not Until You Beg I thought Cela and Foster were finally in a good place. There were some good sexy times ahead as Foster was going Dom mode full speed ahead and Cela was finally accepting what she wanted from him.
Sad face when the story didn’t continue like that. I think part of the issue for me is that these are installments so what I read in that short half hour pack more of a punch than it normally would. Cela turns into a brat in this installment and normally I could jump into the next chapter and see how that is fixed but now I have to wait a week and that makes her bratiness seem ever worse. When I finish my short installment agree at Cela for not living up to her end of their commitment, it doesn’t leave me in a good place with the book.
One other thing that bugs me is that I have yet to see Foster really ‘own’ Cela. He stated that he wants a submissive to train and own but he is just as hot and cold as Cela is. He has shown flashed of dominance but nothing that screams owning a woman. I know from previous books that Ms Loren can write a man owning a woman and she can write it something good. I thought that Foster would be that type of man from the way he started out but so far it hasn’t panned out like I hoped it would.
I still trust Ms. Loren to pull this one out and await my next installment. I hope we go somewhere good because Cela, Foster and me all need it! Final grade- C+
“Then take me to bed or lose me forever.”
“Show me the way home, honey,” he whispered against my ear, nailing the line.
I pulled back, looking at him in surprise. “Did you just recite Top Gun back to me?” His cocky grin was my answer.
