Iz No Readin’ Ur Blog – Halp!

Not long ago I cleaned up my Google Reader. Sadly there were many subscriptions to book blogs that had long been abandoned. As I was de-cluttering I realized that I hadn’t added any new book blogs in a long time.

I guess I just sort of get in a rut and forget to stray outside my normal blog reading routine. To be honest, I don’t get around the book blogosphere as much as I’d like to. So I thought I’d ask you what blogs I should be visiting.

I’ll start. Today I posted my fan letter to Lorelei James as part of the Author Fan Letter Blog Crawl organized by the lovely Kassa. Below is a list of participants. There are some long time favorites of mine listed but also some new-to-me blogs. Perhaps you’ll find some great new blogs to visit as well.

These are blogs I’ve discovered in the last year or so:

Great post and I have a new list to follow along.
Ok I am bias but I like my book review blog, Another Look Book Reviews. I’ve only been up since the end of April and I have been having tons of fun. Bloggers are a great community so I love your list above.

I hope you check it out my site. I normally do book reviews and on Wednesdays I’ve started posting my Guilty Pleasures. I am going to start doing other posts once I get my feet wet more.

    Thanks! MichelleKCanada

@A Buckeye Girl Reads: I didn’t get an email notice that you posted a comment previous to this one :(

    Sorry it poofed!! :(

ETA: It’s there!! The comment went to spam, probably because of the links. I’m sorry. I ask for links and my blog spams you. LOL

@Sophia Ooh…now you’re asking. I’m afraid I frequent lots of agent/editing blogs, but here are the ones I find most interesting:

http://bigglasscases.blogspot.com/ (in fact read this short story post. It’s gorgeously sexy: http://bigglasscases.blogspot.com/2011/05/language-barriers.html )

Hyperbole And a Half isn’t really to do with books, but she does tell stories which leave me in fits of childish sniggers: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/10/god-of-cake.html

I spent part of my day doing the same thing. It took a lot longer than I expected! I’ll definitely go check out some of these blogs, although I follow some already.

Some of my favorites (other than yours & Smexy’s which are a given) include:

    Wicked Little Pixie
    The SpinecrackerBook Savvy Babe
    Tynga’s Reviews
    Paranormal Haven
    Under the Covers
    Madame D’s Boudoir
    Shameless Romance Reviews

I’m sure I’m leaving some people out. I follow so many great blogs.

If you haven’t been by to visit mine, you can find me at Red Hot Books.

Hi great post! Now I have a list of more bloggers to check out!

I’d like to introduce you to my blog. Yes I may be bias but I like it. LOL I’ve only been at it since April but I am having so much fun.

I do romance book reviews and not just on the new releases. Every Wed I have started posting my Guilty Pleasures. hee hee

Anyhow, I’d love it if you stopped by and checked it out. I am having a Kindle giveaway later this month to celebrate the launch of Margaret Ethridge’s new release Contentment and I’m very excited about that!
Cheers (and thanks for the list)

Ok everyone. I totally disabled my spam filter for a while so it won’t grab your comments. Apparently whenever someone posts several links in a comment, Akismet flags it as spam. All should be ok now and I’ve approved all comments. Sorry about that!! xoxo

Links for you to check out a few places Sophia that I hang regularly:

    The Bookish Snob

    Author Maria Zannini

    Vampire Book Club

    Paranormal Haven

    Paranormal Wastelands

    Books Devoured

I have a feeling you know about a couple of these and maybe a couple of them you don’t but they are ones I visit often…
and my blog Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories where my mission is to introduce a few Indie authors and some better known ones as well to people who may not have read them yet…

I am a LONG way from my RSS feeds and book blog reading. I work online all day. At my peak, I was working for clients, then writing and posting reviews at various sites, and starting my own book and other blogs. I burned out. Badly. I’m just now getting back into the blogosphere with some seriousness, networking with others and trying to stay focused without allowing it to consume my life again.

This list is a terrific way to get back into the groove. I’ll be sure to add some of these to my blogrolls. I also need to bookmark some of the ones mentioned in the comments.

Thanks for sharing! I found this post via @Jennifer_Estep on Twitter.

I read a ton of blogs during my lunch every weekday. The ones I can’t hit during lunch I have fed to my email. Wish I had more time, I’d update my own more frequently.

Anywho, some of my favorites are yours, Smexy’s, Lurv a la Mode, Literary Escapism, Tynga, Sullivan McPig, The Intern, The Rejectionist, Pub Rants, Allison Pang’s, etc.
