Oh gosh do I love cupcakes. They are the perfect food. Not only are they gorgeous and yummy, but they are packed with nutrition, energy and all the goodness of life. They make your hair grow long, brighten your complexion, lift your boobs, and make you taller and thinner. If you eat enough of them, you’ll win the lottery, crush your enemies, and eventually rule the world. OMG they are just perfect! /fantasy
My love of cupcakes has absolutely nothing at all to do with reviews but bear with me. As you know we review a lot of books here at Fiction Vixen Book Reviews. However, I don’t review all the books I read. I review the books I’ve accepted for review but there are lots of books that I purchase that never get a mention on the blog just because there is not enough time for me to do it.
Pearl, from Pearl’s World of Romance had a similar problem so she created a second blog called Quick N Dirty Reviews where she reviews certain books in an abbreviated format. She recently decided to shut that blog down but continue the format on her romance review blog. I think her idea is brilliant and I have decided to try something similar here at FVBR. I wanted a format that would allow me to cover key points in the book, but I wanted to keep it short and sweet. The minute I thought of short and sweet, there went the cupcake fantasy. *sighs*
You’ll still get full length reviews here at FVBR, but occasionally you will see the Short and Sweet version for the books I’ve purchased myself. I’ll start it off with a Short and Sweet review of Lilli Feisty’s Wasteland novella, The Whore later this week. Until then, I think I’ll eat a cupcake. Happy Sunday everyone.

Yea! I like this idea! I tried to do something similar on my blog with "quickie reviews" but it seems like I always ended up writing a full-length review and I haven't been successful. I'll have to get some pointers from you and Pearl! Thanks!

Really good idea. The majority of my reviews lately have been books that have been sent to me for review and I feel I neglect the beauty's I buy myself.
