Happy Friday

How are you all? I feel like we never talk anymore. Mostly because I haven’t been doing the Friday post. Either we’ve got other posts that need posting or I have pressing, away from the computer business. But I’m here this week and I want to know what you’ve been up to. What did you read this week that you can recommend?

This week I listened to How To Run With A Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper. The narrator, Amanda Ronconi reads these books with such great snark, just they way they are written. She narrates the Jane Jameson series and the Naked Werewolf series and I can’t imagine listening to either of these series if Amanda wasn’t reading them. She does a fantastic job.

    Happy Friday!

I just read the first few books in the Pushing the Limits series by Katie McGarry. I’m not normally a fan of YA but these were written well and I really enjoyed them.

    Have a great weekend!

Not a full book, but I read the teaser for Kristen Ashley’s newest kaleidoscope and am intrigued. It’s up on her website.

A book I read recently and loved loved loved to bits was “Louder Than Love” by Jessica Topper — I almost didn’t read it because the blurb and cover ALMOST made it sound like just another rockstar/NA book, but it is NOT. The heroine is a widowed single mother in her 30s and the hero is a 40-ish washed up 80s hair metal rocker who is DELIGHTFULLY British — the “Are you taking the piss?” kind of British. I feel like I’m the only one who has read this. Am I?

*waving* So nice to see you around!

I haven’t read anything new recently, but I did re-read (and reviewed) Linda Howard’s Son of the Morning and Justine Dare’s Avenging Angel this week (in case you are into some retro reading).

    Have a wonderful weekend!

I just finished The Duchess War by Courtney Milan, the first full-length novel in her latest series and I adored it. Two words – virgin hero.

I haven’t JUST read it, but if you like audiobooks the London Steampunk series by Bec McMaster narrated by Alison Larkin is fantastic! I am listening to the Eternal Guardians series by Elisabeth Naughton narrated by Elizabeth Wiley, and that is great as well. 😀
