When the human and the vampire worlds collide

Luca Ambrus is a rare breed: He is a vampire from birth, begotten by vampire parents: blood born. He is also an agent of the Council—the centuries-old cabal that governs vampirekind, preserving their secrecy and destroying those who betray them.

When a cryptic summons leads him to the scene of the brutal killing of a powerful Council member, Luca begins the hunt for an assassin among his own people. But instead of a lone killer he discovers a sinister conspiracy of rogue vampires bent on subjugating the mortal world.

All that stands in their way are the conduits, humans able to channel spirit warriors into the physical world to protect mankind. Chloe Fallon is a conduit—and a target of the vampire assassin who’s killing them. When Luca saves her life, an irresistible bond of trust—along with more passionate feelings—is forged between them. As more victims fall, Chloe and Luca have only each other to depend on to save the world from the reign of monsters—and salvage their own future together.

  12. Oh this sounds good – please count me in.
I am loving vampire books right now, between the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris (my favorite) to Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress series (love it!) and I did really enjoy the first 3 books in the YA Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.

  15. I have read only two vampire books. "Interview with…" and a Harlequin.
I didn't like Ann Rice's book, so I haven't read another book by her.

    kzupancic[at]yahoo[dot]com

  16. I'm still a diehard vampire fan. I'm hooked on quite a few series and it's getting difficult to keep up with them all. But, JR Ward's series is still one of my favorites. Can't wait to read Linda Howard's book.

  17. Favorite? Hmm… between the Charlaine Harris and Jeanine Frost, I think. I also love shifters, magic workers and fae depending on how it is written. Always on the look out for another UF good book! :)

  18. I still love the vampires but have been expanding my reading to include more shifter and werewolf stories.

  19. I read lots of vampire books. Love the genre.

  22. I'm not tired of vampires yet and this sounds like another good one. Count me in.

  29. Please enter me too because I love Linda's books and was glad to see her venture into this genre!

Wow I've read alot of vamp books but a couple of my favorites are the Darkhunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon and The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward.

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  30. I discovered that I go through "reading phases". I used to buy books just because they got vampires in it without even looking at the synopsis. Then I went through a "wolf shifter phase". Now I'm on a "dragon phase" (I think). Although my "vampire phase" has sort of passed, I still read and love vampires. But not as obsessive as I used to be :)

During my "vampire phase" I devoured the Dark Hunter series by Kenyon and the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward among others. And my favourite was Zarek and Zhadist… yeah, I'm a sucker for angsty, kick-ass, vampire heroes… This book sounds like it got kick-ass vampires in it too! Please count me in!!

  35. I read a pretty good mix of stuff but I still love me some vampires.

    roxane.elder(at)gmail(dot)com

  36. I read all kinds of vampire books; horror, YA, paranormal romance, and urban fantasy. I've even read some incredibly fun vampire stories. LOL

    I love vampires.

    Dottie :)

  37. I am "completely and irrevocably in love with" vampire books-werewolf ones too- but the ones for grown-ups! Lol! Love paranormals anything really, but vamps & weres still rule.

  38. I still am reading vampires books. I love paranormals so I read all the different paranormal characters.

    Crystal816[at]hotmail[dot}com

  39. I was a big fan of mystery and horror books in high school but once I graduated my reading took a big hit. When I started reading again (and NO it wasn't because of Twilight. I refuse to read that series) I was vampires only but after months of just vamps I started to venture out. Now I think I read a good mix of paranormal books but vampires will always be number 1 for me.

  40. I am pretty much loyal forever, at least since reading that first LKH story many moons ago. I love a vampire as a hero. Tweaking that brooding, sexy and lethally dark character to fit the role as a hero makes for some amazing storylines.

    caity_mack(at)yahoo(dot)com

  41. I'm expanding my horizons right now, but still love vampires :)

    magabygc AT gmail DOT com

  42. I started out reading vamps, but expanded into urban fantasy where vamps are often part of the story, but not necessarily the focus of it. Hmm, thinking about this subject, I guess I haven't read a straight vamp story in awhile actually – well, except for the BDB, but I don't really consider those to be vampire stories.

  43. I'm relatively new to Vamps
As teenager I read a lot of paranormal and horror and as an adult I explored scifi.
I read an odd vamp story here and there but only investigated the genre seriously having seen True Blood and feeling that as a mother of a teenage daughter I really needed to see what Twilight was about.

    eva.s.black[@]gmail[.]com

  44. my reading tastes flit around to different genres, but i always come back to the vamps! :)

    k_sunshine1977 at yahoo dot com

  45. Though I do branch out and read about shifters, demons, and fairies, vampires books will always be my first love!

    Thanks,

  46. I read vampire stories but I must admit there are so many of them these days that I miss a lot of them.

I find that I can't restrict my self to just one genre as then I get bored,so I read everything from crime, thriller, romnace, historicals and non-fiction.

Thanks for opening the giveaway to worldwide entries.

  47. I am still really many Vampire books but with so many paranormal books, is hard not read them either.

  48. Thanks for the giveaway. I a up to my ears in vampires! I just can't get enough.

    lizzi0915 at aol dot com

  49. I love anything paranormal. I read every vampire book I can get my hands on but I also like shapeshifters, demons, ghost, etc

  50. Twilight series started it all for me. I hadn't read in years. I loved the Twilight series but lean in to more of the adult arena, paranormal erotica…vamps mostly but have loved shifters..weres…demons..fae.
Absolutely loved BDB, DH, Night Huntress, vamps are number one in my reading favs…and the hotter the better.
    Thanks for this opportunity!
