It’s Friday, get excited!
It’s Friday and that’s pretty much always a good thing right? As always I’m looking forward to some family time, maybe do something outdoors, have a BBQ, and pamper the hubs for being such an awesome dad.
I’m feeling pretty random today so I think I’ll just post about some stuff as it comes to me. Here we go:
I finally created an ‘About Us’ page for Fiction Vixen Book Reviews. My blog has been in existence since August of 2009 and I’m just now getting around to it. It’s not really laziness on my part. Well, ok, maybe a little lazy but I really have a hard time stuff like that so I managed to procrastinate for almost a full year. Even I’m impressed!
True Blood. Eric. Alcide. Who’s excited? ME! I donned my Superheroine Persuader cape and convinced my hubby it was time to get HBO because dammit, Eric and Alcide need me. Ok, maybe I didn’t really have to work all that hard at persuading him, I just had to say, “Honey, will you call the cable company and tell them I want HBO?”. But still, I’m still impressed with me.
Karen Marie Moning’s Shadowfever has been pushed back a few weeks to January 18, 2011. While my first reaction was to stomp my feet and pout, I quickly realized it’s only a couple of weeks and KMM says we’ll get more words. More words. I’m down with more words. Since this is the last book in the series I want it to be the one that makes me want to run away and marry it.
Lusty Reader has it bad for the Fever Series and she had re-written the lyrics for Kelly Clarkson’s Because of You. She calls it Because of YOU Karen Marie Moning. Go check it out, it’s love man.
It’s The Book Vixen’s birthday and she’s celebrating by giving away a bunch of books!! Run don’t walk, and git’cher book on.
The Kindle 2 firmware update (2.5) is finally available. I couldn’t wait for the auto-update to roll out so I updated manually. I am loving the collections feature. So nice to finally be able to organize my e-books. I’m also loving the Twitter/Facebook feature. It’s fun to share quotes as I’m reading. There are a few other enhancements but I haven’t gotten to them yet.
For all you m/m readers, the ladies over at SmokinHotBooks have a list of m/m newer releases that need to be on your radar. Lots of m/m love happening over there.

I too wish I had HBO. HEll, I wish I had cable. I want to see True Blood. I'm on a waiting list to rent it because I live in a wanker state where people don;t return movies on time. Sons of bishes. *Grump*

I've always been the holdout for HBO. Didn't think we should get it for just one show but Mandi at smexybooks assures me I'll want to watch other shows too. (I haven't yet lol)

I love watching True Blood! I can't wait for Alcide to show up on the show! I have my co-workers come over (who I might have gotten addicted to the show too) and we all watch the show together..love it!
