October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Sadly it seems almost everyone has been affected by cancer in some way including my own family. Let us all hope that one day soon we’ll find a cure.
Ghosts, vampires, demons, and more! Entangled includes ten suspense-filled paranormal short stories from authors Cynthia Eden, Jennifer Estep, Edie Ramer, Lori Brighton, Michelle Diener, Misty Evans, Nancy Haddock, Liz Kreger, Dale Mayer, and Michelle Miles, plus a Seven Deadly Sins novella by Allison Brennan.
Stacia Kane contributed the foreword. Formatting and cover art were also donated to the project by Lori Devoti and Laura Morrigan.
All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Entangled is packed with several short stories, by authors I’ve read before and several by new-to-me authors. I enjoyed being able to sample the work of authors I’ve not yet read and it was fun to read some bonus material from a few series I already enjoy. I particularly enjoyed the contributions from Jennifer Estep, Cynthia Eden and Nancy Haddock. If you like paranormal romance/urban fantasy then you will definitely want to pick up this anthology.
Stacia Kane wrote a heartfelt and touching foreword for this anthology that really hit home with me. She ends with, “If I was writing the world, she would definitely still be in it.”, speaking of the sister of a good friend who was taken by breast cancer. That line in Stacia Kane’s foreword has stayed with me for days.
My sincerest gratitude to those who donated their time, skill and talent in putting this anthology together and to those that purchase it, to raise money for research and awareness of a disease that has claimed far too many.
In memory of Aunt Deb, who stood up to the bully and fought hard. She also always stole the pepperoni off my pizza when I was little. I’m not over it yet. *wink*
I’m giving away 10 (e-book) copies of Entangled. I will purchase a copy for each winner via Amazon’s “gift” option so you’ll need a Kindle or one of the free Kindle reading apps if you win. To enter, just leave a comment letting me know you’d like to be entered. I’ll announce the winners at the end of the week. Good luck!!
UPDATED: I just realized ARe also has a gift option so it’s your choice! I will gift the winners with a copy of Entangled from either Amazon OR All Romance eBooks.
You can purchase a copy: Amazon || Barnes & Noble || ARe || Smashwords
Sophia, you made me tear up. I’m happy you have such great memories of your aunt Deb.
Thanks for featuring Entangled. And for giving away so many books that you’re buying yourself. You rock!
What Edie said. Wow, Sophia, thank you so much for spreading the word about ENTANGLED and your incredibly generous giveaway. I love your note to your aunt Deb.
Thank you for sharing about your aunt. It’s wonderful how the smallest of things, like pepperoni theft, can stay with us after we’ve lost a loved one.
This sounds like a great anthology and a great cause.
Please enter me your giveaway.
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your Aunt Deb story, Sophia, and thank you for your extremely generous support of ENTANGLED and the cause.
Light,
Nancy Haddock

Hi Sophia. Thanx for the great shout out about Entangled and for sharing your memory of your Aunt Deb. She sounds like she was a hellava lady.
It seems like breast cancer has affected my life for far too long … starting with my MIL who is a 50+ year survivor, going on to my SIL, who’s a 20+ year survivor, to me, who is still battling it after 15 years. This is such a great cause and I was thrilled to be asked to be part of this Anthology.
It’s great how all of this was put together for a good cause. Thanks for sharing!

Please don’t enter me. I am a survivor and I have already purchased a copy. I also wanted to thank you for supporting the cause.
Here’s to Aunt Deb 🙂
You are right, Sophia – too many families are affected by breast cancer including my own. MIL had a mastectomy and have now been cancer free for a year 🙂

Don’t enter me. I purchased my copy already.
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful post. I don’t know if I’m a survivor, none of the doctors has said as much. I just know I’m here two years later. The ‘bully’ is tough to stand up to and needs to be taken down for good.
Here’s to Aunt Deb and every other woman who’s had to deal with breast cancer.
If you haven’t done your mammogram in a year, what are you waiting for? Mine was a fast growing sucker, and if I’d waited another year, I might not be here now. Get your exam!
“If I was writing the world, she would definitely still be in it.”,
That is a very powerful sentence. No wonder it stayed with you.
Please do enter me into the contest.
I cant wait yes I have a kindle .. I have also lost a family member to breast cancer. Cyndi was a strong person & a loving mom to her children we miss her everyday.

I am a HUGE HUGE supporter of BC early detection can save your life . 11 years ago I went to my doctor for an allergy shot my nurse/receptionist told me that 2 people in the building was just diagnosed with BC she thought I should think about booking a mammogram, My first thought was naw I’m too young 2nd was I don’t like pain my 3rd was hummmmm maybe I should so I did.
3days Later My Doctor called to tell me they found a lump. I am booked for a biopsy in 2 days . I had no time to dwell on it till the surgeon came in to say It was positive . I felt like I was slammed into a brick wall I heard nothing else , I stared at my DH saw his mouth moving My Surgeon was holding my hand I vaguely remember him saying you did good sunshine caught it early.

Breast cancer has hit my family too. My aunt died from it after putting up a long fight. It’s not the only cancer that has hit my family hard my dad is fighting skin cancer right now. So far he has a great attitude and hasn’t been very sick from the medicine.
WOW!!! What a wonderful idea and such a great cause to support. My Mom is 1 yr cancer free and we are so greatful to still have her with us. One of the things that kept her going was humor, not only hers but ours (her family) too. Cancer is not a laughing matter but, if you cant make someone smile during such a trial of life than that life is not worth the trial… this is the way we looked at it, and no matter how politically incorrect, offensive, or just plain bad the jokes were it helped and thats all that matters to us. Thank you for featuring this book.

Hi Sophia,
Thanks for the wonderful promo for Entangled! As one of the authors involved, I know how important it is to get the message out to the world.
Love the pepperoni tidbit. My great uncle die many years back from cancer and I will always remember him for his pockets full of candy. Candy that somehow ended up in my pockets without me knowing.
Remembering is honoring.
Breast cancer hasn’t touched my family personally but it has touched people I know. Thank you for spreading thw word! I would love to read from these great authors. Locally we had a cancer walk and run so the community is really rallying for a cure.

This is a great cause. My grandmother is a 15 year survivor of breast cancer so I support breast cancer charities whenever I can. Thank you so much for this giveaway. I have accounts with both places, so if I am chosen, the choice is yours where you send it from. If I do not win, I will be buying this book.
