Eagerly Anticipating: October Romance Releases!!

*Scheduled for release October 2nd*

Beauty and the Bounty Hunter by Lori Austin – I’ve been on a Western kick so I am very excited to read this one. Also, if the heroine’s the bounty hunter, does that mean the hero’s the beauty? I like the role reversal! *I will be reviewing this soon*

Death and the Girl Next Door by Darynda Jones – I have not read this author yet (although I’m about to jump into the Charley Davidson series) but I have heard great things about her work, so I’m intrigued by her attempting YA. That’s not my genre of choice, but if I love her other series I’ll probably give this one a go.

Mate Claimed by Jennifer Ashley – This is a really interesting series that I am constantly surprised to see doesn’t get a ton of press. I love the way the author delves into the politics and uneven social standing of the shifters. *Angela will be reviewing this soon*

Mortal Ties by Eileen Wilks – This is yet another series that doesn’t get nearly the amount of press that I want it to. This series is fabulous! Why aren’t more people reading it??? *Angela will be reviewing this soon*

Poison Princess by Kresley Cole – I wasn’t sure how Cole’s voice would carry over to YA, but I’ve heard great things about this book. Dark, gritty, and intense were the most frequent descriptions I’ve heard tossed around by early readers. Sounds like just my type. ;)

Practically Wicked by Alissa Johnson – I admit it, I am a sucker for a rake that goes straight in order to win the heroine. Add that to my previous success with this author and I’m there. :) *I will be reviewing this soon*

*Scheduled for release October 16th*

Angel’s Ink by Jocelynn Drake – I don’t know anything about this book or author beyond the short description on Amazon, but I am intrigued. I am interested in trying out another UF with a male lead and him being a magical tattoo artist is just icing on the cake.

What Happens At Christmas by Victoria Alexander – If you know my tastes, you know I like humorous books. This author always has fun shenanigans and humor, so whenever she comes out with a new one I always grab a copy on release day. *I will be reviewing this soon*

*Scheduled for release October 30th*

A Notorious Countess Confesses by Julie Anne Long – I am in love with this series. I went on a serious glom earlier this year and inhaled them all. I can’t wait to read this one. *I will be reviewing this soon*

A Trace of Moonlight by Allison Pang – I am excited yet nervous about this release. I loved the first book in this series but was not happy with the second one. I really, really hope I enjoy this one and can recapture my earlier love. *Angela will be reviewing this soon*

Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet by Darynda Jones – Since I haven’t started this series yet, I don’t have plans to purchase this one right on release day, BUT I will be starting this series soon and have every expectation of grabbing this one shortly thereafter. Besides, I couldn’t skip mentioning this one since FV Jen is a rabid fan.

Ghost Planet by Sharon Lynn Fisher – I’ve been on a Sci-Fi movie kick lately so this one perked my interest. I love the thought of the characters being on a new world and I’m excited to read this and find out more about the alien/ghost tether thingy (a technical term) described in the book description.

Iced by Karen Marie Moning – This is another book that I don’t plan to buy right away (I haven’t read the original Fever series yet) but couldn’t resist mentioning. I know a ton of you are excited about this release and I know Sophia is a huge Fever series lover, so I wouldn’t be surprised to find she already has this one pre-ordered.

Midnight’s Seduction by Donna Grant – I haven’t read any of the other books in this series but my attention was caught by the mention of the Druids in the book summary. Anyone read this series? Opinions?

The Shattered Dark by Sandy Williams – I loooooved the first book in this series, The Shadow Reader, and cannot wait to get my hands on this one. Anyone else excited about this release? *Angela will be reviewing this soon*

I just started the Charlie Davidson series and Darynda Jones has already made a fan out of me.

I’m super interested in Ghost Planet. The premise is SO promising.

I think you’ll like A Trace of Moonlight, it was way better than book two. I’m curious to see what you think if the ending.

Why doesn’t the World of the Lupi series get more press? It’s one if the best PNR/UF series out there.

I agree with both of you. Lily and Rule are a great couple. And even though they are fated mates it wasn’t instant love. That was a huge, welcome change from most fated mate books.

That was a huge plus for me. I loved that they still had to develop an actual relationship and connection despite the mate bond already being in place.

That’s great to hear. A lot of people loved the second book as much as the first, but I was really disappointed in it. :\

I completely agree about it being one of the best PNR/UF series out there. The author did an awesome job with that world and Lily and Rule rock my world.

I am a HUGE Jennifer Ashley fan and I adore her Shifters Unbound series. I just finished reading Bodyguard and Hard Mated. She always surprises me and leaves me satisfied.

I’ve been reading Donna Grant’s Dark Warriors/Dark Sword/Dark Kings series and they are interesting and have kept me reading/buying but they don’t compare to Ashley’s writing. Ashley is always A+ while Grant is a B. I have actually enjoyed her Dark Kings novella’s more and that is surprising for me. I was drawn by the dragon shifters, always a hit with me but novellas always leave me wanting more flesh to the stories. These were surprisingly satisfying.

I am super excited for two of these, Mate Claimed & especially ICED! I actually get my ICED book on the 29th instead of the 30th at the book launch party with KMM. I can’t wait to read it!! Another book coming out on October 2nd that I’m excited for is “Reflected In You” by Sylvia Day! October is gonna be a fantastic month for me :)

I’m also a big fan of Jennifer Ashley and Eileen Wilks so it’s a big bonus that they are both releasing books next month. The World of the Lupi is one of my favorite series (I love all things shifter so that’s not really a surprise, but I just love Lily and Rule, and all of the secondary characters also). The other book I really want is Angel’s Ink by Jocelynn Drake. I’ve read both of the prequel stories and I’m definitely intrigued.
