Wow, we’re nearly to 2012! It felt like each month took forever while I was experiencing them, but now it feels like the whole year blew by. How are we already to Christmas??? I’m blaming this time loss on being so busy lately. I’ve got a lot of books I’m looking forward to in 2012, so I’m just going to regard this rush through 2011 as a good thing. I’m that much closer to the book releases.
*Scheduled for release January 1st*
Midnight Reckoning by Kendra Leigh Castle – I’m looking forward to trying this one out. I read the first book in this series, Dark Awakening, back in July and really enjoyed the unique world the author created. It was full of political maneuvering and prejudices, and I’m excited to seeing Jaden overcome his bias enough to hook up with Lyra.
*Scheduled for release January 3rd*
Mad About the Earl by Christina Brooke -I got rec’ed (and read) the first book in this series, Heiress in Love, by Juliana earlier this year. I had some issues with the book, but not enough to keep me from checking this one out. I’m just hoping there won’t be quite as much of the ministry in this one.
Wild Cat by Jennifer Ashley – I haven’t had the best of luck with this series. I swore I was giving it up after the last book, but it seems as though I’m still intrigued enough to try again. I really like this world, so I’m hoping this one will succeed in sweeping me off my feet.
*Scheduled for release January 10th*
Lothaire by Kresley Cole – Most everyone out there seems to be looking forward to this book, so I’m sure it’s no surprise that it’s on my list. I’ll need to catch up and read the last book before getting this one–nerves about what I’ve heard about the hero have held me off to date–but read it I will.
*Scheduled for release January 19th*
Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James – I’m really looking forward to seeing the wrap up of this series. I had quite a few problems with the writing style of Fifty Shades of Grey but the story itself was so intriguing that I was sucked in anyway. I liked the second book a lot more and am hoping this one will work as well for me.
*Scheduled for release January 31st*
An Affair with Mr. Kennedy by Jillian Stone – I haven’t read this author before, but I’m very excited to try this book out. I like trying out HR’s with lower class protagonists, so this sounds perfect. The hero is a Scotland Yard detective and the heroine is a painter. Don’t mind it I do.
His Dark Bond by Anne Marsh – I haven’t read the first book, Bond With Me, yet, but it’s on my list. I’m a sucker for the angel/demon thing, so books like this always seem to catch my notice.
If You See Her by Shiloh Walker – I read the first book in this trilogy, If You Hear Her, and really enjoyed it. The suspense plot spans all three books, so I cannot wait to dive into this one and finally see what happens next.
My Wicked Little Lies by Victoria Alexander – I enjoy Alexander’s work in general, so I’m looking forward to reading this. Her books almost always succeed in making me smile. An added bonus to picking this up is that the hero and heroine are already married. I almost never find books like that.
