The Reveal
The awesome thing about self-publishing is that you get to set your own release date. When you’re finished with your book and have gone rounds with various flavors of editors and proofreaders, you get to send your book out into the wild whenever you want. No waiting! Awesome.
The terrifying thing about self-publishing is that you have to set your own release date. There are so many variables that go into getting a book ready for publication. What if you pick a date that’s too soon and you disappoint readers? What if you pick a safe one, and then you have a finished book that people could be reading now instead of in 2 months, on “release” day? Terrifying.
That’s why we’ve hesitated this long in announcing a release date for Beyond Control. It’s awesome knowing we can take as long as we want to get this book right, but it’s also a big responsibility to pick a date and decide, “That’s it. That’s when it will be out of our hands.”
But the day has come to pick the date. 
And since it felt like a pretty monumental choice to us, we decided to celebrate it. In video format.

I’m not one to wish time away but I am DYING for this to come out! Such amazing world building, such riveting characters in Beyond Shame that that the moment I read the past page I was ready for more.

I have to hand it to you your promotion and swag definitely catches everyone’s eye as it is so different from the usual postcard/boomark swag and thus makes your book memorable at first glimpse (and that eye-catching dramatic cover also succeeds in that!). Yes, I have heard that besides the big creative independence one of the perks of self-publishing is that you are in control of your booK’s release and don’t have to wait long months or even a year to see it on the shelves. So congratulations on your release!!
