I read a lot, but don’t always have time to sit down and write full reviews. So I thought I’d give y’all a quick rundown of a few things I’ve read recently that I enjoyed. As a bonus, I’d like to gift two commenters on one of the books listed below. Your choice! Just let me know what YOU’VE read recently that you absolutely loved.
My first Riley Hart book was Crossroads which was GFY x 2 and had me rooting hardcore for Bryce and Nick to have a wonderful HEA. So when I heard the second book in the series would feature the adult store clerk who sold them their first sex toys I was like heck yeah! Rodd now owns his own store, Rods-N-Ends, and he is paired with a sexy motorcycle mechanic named Landon. For some reason, I found this book to have quite a bit more drama than Crossroads, but it was just as sexy and satisfying. Oh, and it’s also filled with more Bryce and Nick goodness.
I love this sci/fi series. No lie, I will drop what ever I’m currently reading when I find out there is a new release. Barbarian’s Prize is Tiffany and Salukh’s story and can I just say right now that he has moved to the top of my favorite big, blue alien list. Holy hell, this guy is sweet and patient and just about perfect. I’m not even going to get into the masturbation scene, I’ll let you guys read that for yourselves. You’re welcome.
So when do we get Josie’s story? Because gimme!
Bo and Nix! Finally! I’ve been waiting on these guys for what feels like forever. Okay, not really forever, but this was the couple out of this series that I’ve been the most interested in seeing get together. They do and in spectacular fashion. Which involves a trip to another dimension and Bo finding out he has a few more siblings than he thought he did. Which means now I’ve got to read the next couple of books in the series to see if they get their own HEA.
I saw that Ms. Warren had a new release featuring Phillip, I realized I was woefully behind in the Chicago Underground series. Wild is book four and begins Shelly’s journey to finding love. I’m right in the middle of book five, Dirty, now, so I’ll get back to you on exactly how heart wrenching and crazy her story gets. But it must be said, Skye Warren writes dark romance. While I don’t think this series is on the level of some of her other books, Shelly is a call girl trying to escape her life, so some of the situations she finds herself in are pretty grim. So far I’ve enjoyed all four books I’ve read in this series.
So now it’s your turn to tell me what you’ve enjoyed lately. I need recs!
