Out of all the new offerings from Amazon on the new Kindle line up I’m most excited about the Kindle Paperwhite. Besides the new display with the “patented built in light”, I am excited about the new “Time to Read” feature:

The larger Fire HD is looking nice too. I said I was going to wait until the first of the year to upgrade my Kindles. Who want to take bets on whether or not of cave it and buy?

Hm, what is the Paperwhite exactly? Is it backlit? I’m still a bit unfamiliar with this type of Kindle…
No according to Amazon it’s not. Here is what they say:

I’m thinking if they do go 3G you’d have to buy a data plan, it wouldn’t be free.
Why wouldn’t it be? It’s free with the 3 G Kindle keyboard.
Because you can stream a lot of data though the Kindle Fire. It’s a tablet so you can stream movies, you have full internet access etc.
My trusty K2 is finally starting to show it’s age (after 2.5 years of heavy service). I’d been eying the Kindle Touch, but then decided to wait for the new ones. Now I’m very glad I waited. I just pre-ordered the Paperwhite 3G. Black case + built-in lights + touchscreen is making me very happy. The time to read function should be pretty trippy too.
Oh I’m jealous!!! The covers for them look pretty good too. I want!
I would love to get a Kindle Paperwhite but my current Kindle Touch is running like a champ. Maybe I should write Santa….

I bought the Kindle Fire last year and I think I’ve used t once. It irritates me that I can’t organize my shelves.
I use my iPad all the time. i know the screen bothers a lot of people but I love it.
